Description:
The collection of pieces, commissioned for Peter Jarvis by the Composers Guild of New Jersey, contains twelve pieces; eight for vibraphone alone, three for vibraphone and electronic sound and one for vibraphone, electronic sound and dancers which can be performed without dance.
From four countries: Hong Kong, South Korea, Kazan Russia and
the United States the composers are:
William Anderson, Milton Babbitt, Patrick Hardish, Rashid Kalimoullin, Arthur
Kreiger, Kung Chi Shing, Eugene Lee, John Link, Ron Mazurek, Robert Moevs,
Robert Pollock and Peter Westergaard.
Program notes by the composers and performance notes where
applicable are included.
The collection which is engraved and spiral bound contains a CD of the
electronic portions with both rehearsal and performance tracks for the
vibraphone and electronic sound pieces.
